Spring’s Rising Energy - Keeping your Energy Moving
Springtime is here in the northeastern US. New shoots are busting through soil to new life. The energetic movement of Spring is up and out of the body - rising through the center and out the head. When this energy is stuck, we get headaches and migraines, are quick to flare in anger, or unable to see/create new possibilities. It’s an extremely frustrating place to be!
You can do a lot to shift your Spring energy. Moving your body can move your energy. Stretch, bounce on your feet, use your tendons and muscles, or punch the air. Eat more sour foods like lime, dandelion or mustard greens. Listen, sing and dance to music with more drive and energy to it. Listen to teen-angst music, feel how it affects your body, and use some of that energy to get things done. Write a list of goals for the week, make a plan, or list three things you hope for in the coming year. Be straightforward and speak with force in your voice. Notice which of these activities comes easily to you and what is more of a challenge.
