Acupuncture and IVF/ICSI
There’s a great deal of information in the news and specifically the American Society of Reproductive Medicine’s Fertility & Sterility Journal about acupuncture improving assisted reproductive therapies, resulting in a trend towards higher pregnancy and birth rates.
On a physical level, acupuncture improves blood flow to the reproductive organs, helps regulate hormone levels, reduces overactive sympathetic nervous system response, and eases uterine motility for easier implantation. At the same time, you’re more than a set of reproductive organs and hormones, so your emotional and spiritual wellbeing are an integral part of treatment.
